We know the presidential election of 2008 will bring about many issues concerning race and gender in America. Sen. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, both minorities, are the main democrat candidates in this election. If either is elected president, he/she could change American history indefinitely.
Minorities in politics has taken on more force-full role than ever before, especially for African-Americans. In particular, Barack Obama, though not the first African American presidential candidate, he is the first candidate to be seriously considered as a front runner.
